Maintenance of the scraper sprocket:

  1. The tightness of the sprocket should be appropriate, too tight will increase the power consumption, the bearing is easy to wear; too loose the sprocket is easy to jump and de-chaining. The degree of tightness of the sprocket is: lifting or pressing from the middle of the sprocket, about 2%-3% of the center distance of the two sprocket.

 

  1. The sprocket should be mounted on the shaft with no wobble and skew. In the same transmission assembly, the end faces of the two sprocket wheels should lie in the same plane. When the sprocket center distance is less than 0.5 meters, it can deviate by 1 mm; when the sprocket center distance is more than 0.5 meters, it can deviate by 2 mm. However, it is not possible to have friction sprocket side phenomenon, if the two-wheel deflection is too large, it is easy to generate de-chaining and accelerate wear. In the replacement of sprocket must pay attention to check and adjust the offset.


  

  1. After a serious sprocket wear, new sprocket and assembly should be replaced at the same time to ensure good meshing. It is not possible to replace new sprockets or new sprocket assembly alone. Otherwise it will cause bad meshing and accelerate the wear of the new sprocket or the new sprocket assembly. After the sprocket tooth surface is worn to a certain degree, the sprocket tooth surface should be turned over for use (referring to the sprocket used on the adjustable surface) in order to extend the service life.

 

  1. If the new sprockets are too long or they are stretched after use, they are difficult to adjust. The chain links may be removed, but they must be even. The chain link should pass through the back of the sprocket and the locking plate should be inserted outside. The opening of the locking plate should be in the opposite direction of rotation.

 

  1. Sprockets should be filled with lubricants during operation. Lubricants must enter the clearance between the roller and the inner sleeve to improve working conditions and reduce wear.


 

  1. Old sprocket cannot be used mixed with some new sprocket together, otherwise it will be easy to produce impact in the drive and break the sprocket wheel. .

 

  1. When the machine is stored for a long time, the sprocket should be removed and cleaned with kerosene or diesel, and then painted with oil or butter and stored in a dry place.
